General Conduct

Tanglewood asks its guests to respect the music, their fellow patrons, and the performers. Disruptive behavior can detract from the enjoyment of the performances and, thus, will not be tolerated. Any individual causing disruption may face ejection from the venue. Alcoholic beverages, while available, must be consumed responsibly. For everyone’s safety, weapons or dangerous objects are strictly prohibited within the venue.

Seating and Standing

Seating at Tanglewood is designed to enhance the audience’s experience. Those with lawn tickets are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets, making themselves comfortable amidst nature. Patrons with reserved seating must occupy their assigned seats to ensure order and fairness. To maintain an unobstructed view for all, standing in the reserved seating areas is not allowed.

Smoking and Vaping

To maintain a healthy and pleasant atmosphere for all, smoking and vaping are completely prohibited on the Tanglewood grounds. This includes cigarettes, cigars, pipes, and electronic cigarettes.

Photography and Recording

Tanglewood allows photography and recording. However, these are permitted strictly for personal use. Any photography or recording for commercial purposes without express permission is strictly prohibited, preserving the exclusivity of the performances.

Outside Food and Beverages

To ensure the highest quality food and beverage experience, Tanglewood does not allow outside food and beverages on its premises. However, various food and beverage vendors are conveniently located throughout the venue.

Accessibility

Tanglewood is fully committed to providing accessible experiences for all patrons. Each performance venue is equipped with accessible seating and assistive listening devices are available for loan, ensuring everyone can enjoy the performances.

Lost and Found

Lost and Found is handled at the Tanglewood Box Office. Lost items can be reported or turned in at the Box Office or to the Tanglewood Security Office.

Passenger Drop Off

Passenger drop-off is available at the Tanglewood Visitor Center. A nominal fee of $10 is charged for this service.

Safety and Security

Tanglewood takes the safety and security of its patrons very seriously. A professional security team patrols the grounds constantly, ready to handle any suspicious activity or emergency.

Cell Phones and Electronic Devices

While cell phones and electronic devices are permitted on the Tanglewood grounds, it is expected that patrons use them in a manner respectful of the performers and other audience members.

Late Seating

Late arrivals may face a delay in seating until a suitable break in the performance. This ensures that ongoing performances are not disturbed.

Weather Conditions

Tanglewood’s performances are held rain or shine. In the rare case that a concert is canceled due to weather, patrons can exchange their tickets for future performances.

Pets and Animals

The Tanglewood grounds are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Pets and animals are not permitted, except for service animals assisting patrons with disabilities.

Dress Code

Tanglewood encourages a relaxed environment. No formal dress code exists, but comfortable dressing is advised considering the summer temperatures.
